The chicken spaghetti was excellent. the cooked vegetables are fresh. Also at this place on the weekends you can get fresh vegetables & dairy directly from farmers

I highly recommend going by the farmers market Café next to the state fairgrounds off high Street for breakfast. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating and you won’t find a better homestyle breakfast!

If you're looking for fresh, locally-sourced food in a charming atmosphere, look no further than Farmers Market Café in downtown Jackson. This place is a true hidden gem don't let the dirt road up front off of High Street fool you! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, rustic ambiance that feels like a cozy farmhouse kitchen. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their menu, which changes seasonally to showcase the best local produce. I started to ask about their famous Mississippi Tomato Pie which many folks rave about because apparently it's absolutely divine according to frequent visitors because it's apparently bursting with flavor and clearly made from the ripest tomatoes. As for what I had, I had the baked chicken, served with a side of collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The chicken was perfectly cooked, seasoned and moist, with a delightful taste. What really sets this place apart is their commitment to supporting local farmers and producers. You can taste the difference in every bite - everything is so fresh and flavorful. They even have a small market section where you can buy some of the local ingredients to take home. Don't miss their homemade desserts - the Muscadine Grape Cobbler was a perfect end to the meal, not too sweet and bursting with authentic Southern flavor. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and the generous portions. It's clear that the owners and staff are passionate about what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through Jackson, make sure to put Farmers Market Café on your must visit list. It's a true taste of Mississippi that you won't forget!

This was my first trip there. I went with coworkers who claimed they were good, and needless to say, I was not disappointed. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. When you're done eating there is a nice little Mississippi store for shopping. The store is stocked with gifts and goodies.

I ordered the two egg breakfast with a side of pancakes. Everything was good but the grits required self-seasoning. The pancakes were good as well, although I did not particularly care for the taste of the butter.

I had an amazing experience. Apart from the price being extremely affordable, the food tasted amazing and very homemade. I got a three stack of pancakes with bacon and it was perfect. I definitely would recommend coming here for either breakfast or brunch and will definitely be coming back in the future. Would recommend.
